Are you using dial-up internet or do you have a broadband connection?
If you are using dial-up then it may be a problem with your telephone line.
If you are using broadband have you reached the limit of the amount you
can download?
There are several suggestions. Many computer magazines have a copy of
OpenOffice on a CD or DVD that you can install directly onto your
computer and that may be a quick solution. On the OpenOffice website
there are a number of people who supply a CD or DVD of software that you
can then load up. Otherwise it may be possible at a local library or an
internet cafe to download the OpenOffice install file and then take a
copy home.
