Great ! In brief - 'Last location of Save' holds the key. So, OpenOffice automatically opens documents at the place where they were when they were last *saved*, not viewed. So what has to be done is to save document again. And, to display 5th page by default while opening the document, go to page 5 (put the cursor there) and re-save the document.
