Nothing at all was said about getting the data back. Im creating a form
that around 1500 are to use. Its their form. I just wanted to know if

Define "Form". Define "compatible". Calc can read and write xls. That's
all. No more and no less.
Do you have some example file? Is there any concrete problem?
There should be absolutely no problem with formatted and validated input
cells. I don't know what happens with form controls in xls. But form
controls are obsolete if you know how to tweak cells.
