I don't think that you will get Open office to run even if you could
still find X software for OS 8/9 -- a couple of options that might
work for you -- if you can find it, an old version of Star Office
(before Sun did away with Mac support), or you could install some
flavor of PPC linux -- if you check out http://www.ubuntulinux.org/
-- there is a "live" CD download where you can run the os and
applications from CD -- so you don;t need to mess with your working
systems.
Have fun!
Thanks

Hi,
We have just uploaded NeoOfficeJ onto our iBook G4 which has OSX.
We still run two earlier Macs a Performa 5320 running under OS8.6
(very stable) and a Powerbook G3 running under OS9.2
Are there versions of OpenOffice available for these systems?
If yes, where do I go to find them?
Thanks for your advice.
Françoise Tomlin.
