Hi all, I have been trying to use OOo exclusively for the last 4 months and mostly succeeding. Because we work across the country with both OOo and MS Word 2003 our documents have to be in the MS format. I am sure the problem must have been addressed so please point me to a solution if it has already been solved. I did check the forum but got thoroughly confused! You guys are more helpful despite some of the *personal* stuff :-)
Versions : OS - Vista, Office 2003, OOo Portable 3.0.1 from Sun Problem flow : (a) Document .doc made in WORD containing a table, opened in OOo, edited, saved as .doc -- table either disappears or gets totally garbled and can't be used in Word or OOo. (b) Document .odt made in OOo containing a table, saved as .doc -- perfect in OOo, behaves erratically in Word -- sometimes opens, sometimes garbled. May depend on content of table, not explored. If there is a quick solution (preferably without new downloads) please help else reluctantly it's back to MSO. BTW, I havent been able to migrate from Powerpoint for similar reasons.
