Hi:
An interesting case, not critical but would be nice to resolve it. I'm running
3.2.0 on a MacBook with OSX 10.6.2.
I have a Master Document to which I link individual chapters, each in its own
file. In order to have a page break between chapters in the Master Document I
close each chapter file with a hard page break.
Now, when I open the Master Document I see some interesting results. Every
chapter starts on a new page. Some chapters though have a whole empty page
before the text starts, and this is apparently not caused by the text ending
too far down the page, say on the last line of text, neither in the chapter
file nor when the chapter file is linked into the Master Document. Other
chapters have a faint grey one-line cell immediately over the start of the
text. So far as I have looked, it is either one or the other, that is if there
is a blank page, there is no one-line cell and vice versa.
Can anyone duplicate this or does anyone have an explanation? When I have time
I'll see if I can identify what it is that is happening and when.
It might be relevant to say that I have a one-line header in the Master
Document which includes Name/Title on the left and Page Number on the right.
Thanks if anyone can help.

To start a document, linked in a master document, on a new page I set up
the paragraph style for the document title to do that. On the Text Flow
tab in the Break area, specify Insert a Page break with Default page
style positioned Before the paragraph.

Have a nice day.
