I'm having trouble installing extended PDF - I searched the archive and found:

Here is how I finally made extendedPDF work. (The directions on the
website and in the documentation are confusing to say the least if not
wrong or at least out-of-date!) First, unzip the zipped file that you
downloaded. (This was confusing because the Extension Manager deals with
zipped files.) Go to Tools | Extension Manager and go into the directory
that was created (extendedPDF-Universal-Edition) and select
"extendedPDF.zip". Then hit the Add button. This should enable
extendedPDF. Exit from OOo and restart it. You should then see a small
floating window. Clicking on it should start extended PDF.
I hope this helps someone.

Whilst I can see the file being added to
extension manager on restarting I don't see any floating window.
I'm trying to export as PDF a windows 2003 excel file with absolute links.
