I'm afraid I've forgotten how to gain access the group to write messages, as I have just been reading the daily digests for a long time. I have built a new computer and installed Open Office and am having problems with Writer on simple text documents saved under a different version on a different machine. The margins (L&R) have changed, superscripts like rd in 3rd appear 100%, fonts change, and enlarge, compared to the saved original. When I edit them back and save the document, it still comes up reformatted as if I had done nothing when I next call it up. It's as if some default formatting is overriding what I am doing. To correct say the superscript, I highlight it, format, character and change relative font size to 60%, and it works on screen, save the document, but on reopening rd is back at 100% size. What am I doing incorrectly please? Or can someone help me to email the question in the correct way please? The document in question is a master letter which I amend a few details each time I use it.
