The specific example that I presented (2 col, one of which includes a 3-col
segment) was academical. It was loosely based on the question initially
presented by Firewing1 (aka S-Computers).

But the building and manipulation of 1-col segments of text mixed with 2-col
segments has quite recently given me a few headaches, when I was making (or
trying to make) multiple choice examinations for the students of one of my
courses. The multiple choice questions (in a 2-col layout) where mixed with
text and normal questions in a 1-col layout. And over all this I used several
numeric lists (for the different types of questions and for the choices of
some the them).
I cannot overemphasize the my stress and the time I spent making the exams.
Also, I was trying to show the (MSWord entrenched) students how good OOo was!
The handling of sections were quite confusing and I failed to see (still do!)
the need for the "hierarchy" of sections!

But with all this saga, here at the [EMAIL PROTECTED] and with "cloph", I think
I am
now much more proficient with the use of sections!
Nevertheless, I think that most software features should be easy and intuitive
to use, and you should seldom need to ask people for help or have a look into
an instruction book. I keep telling this to my students of programming
courses... :-|

That's the story! Nice to "talk" to you!
