Hello Larry, I've been fiddling with an index (TOC) recently, so maybe I can be of some help. For items in your TOC to be hyperlinks, you have to define them s such. As far as I understand it...: • you have to define the hyperlinks for each level in your TOC (you probably don't want each level to provide a hyperlink, rather only those levels that 'spread' to the most pages) • in (Insert > or do a right click inside the existing TOC) TOC > items you choose the level, then click on Hyperlink, then in the structure (to determine which part will be highlighted) and again on Hyperlink • if all the text shows up in your Navigator, I's say something is wrong with the application of the styles. Normally, only the words that are in the heading styles should be reproduced in the Navigator. So go through your text and check how the heading styles are applied (you can do an extended search for formatting styles - click on more options, check formatting profiles, and the Search now has a droplist of the applied styles) HTH -- Guy using dutch OOo 3.2 on a iMac Intel DualCore Snow Leopard and brazilian OOo 3.2 on an Intel MacBook Pro Leopard -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
