It is an accessibility issue for me, > as I have trouble with the mouse. There is a shortcut for "paste unformatted" since 3.2 or 3.1 (I don't remember exactly). By default it's "SHIFT-CTRL-ALT-V" (IIRC that was requested by Mac users), but as always it can be changed to your liking.
