No, Impress goes right into slideshow mode. If I hit Esc or Exit
Slideshow, Impress closes.

On this system .pps files are associated with "ooffice -impress %F".

Ack! I meant .pps, not .ppt. I have only tested with .pps, I have no .ppt files.
