Microsoft Publisher is LockIn-ware, essentially there is nothing really like it and nothing else that can consistently read it's files. Thus users are locked-in to using the program 'ad infinitum' unless they break the habit. The average user of Publisher however can do ~99% of what they do on Publisher on a modern Word Processor like Writer. Now i am not calling you an average user, you may be a power user, but if you read the Writer Manual you may be pleasantly surprised. http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOo3_User_Guides/Writer_Guide If the above link is broken (because it word-wraps in your e-mail client) try this one: http://tinyurl.com/qv7bu7 Oh, the program OpenOffice.org is free, and uses an international standard file-type (ODF - ODT) which many other programs also support. It will also read DOC and DOCX files among many others. As a bonus it will export seemlessly to PDF file format. -- Michael --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
