Hello, I suppose you could put a Marker at the cursor position you want to come back to. Insert > Marker (11th item in the droplist, before cross-reference). To go back to this Marker, you can use the Navigator, or double-click/right-click on the Page part of the Statusbar (underside of OOo window).
