Hello James, Where would this "appropriate place" be? I guess the easier way to achieve what you are after is to create a master document and add the four parts as sub-documents. This way the page numbers are calculated automatically. Earlier this year I wrote an article on page numbering in OOo that can be downloaded for free here: http://www.linuxidentity.com/us/index.php?name=CmodsDownload&file=index&req=getit&lid=30 You will find there some information on how to start a document from an arbitrary page number using the text flow property of the paragraph style.
