I saved a Calc spreadsheet I had created. When I opened it in Excel I lost all the formulas, however, and saved it with new formulas in the Excel format. When I went to open one of the files, Windows 7 identified the Excel file as Microsoft Excel and the Calc file as "OpenDocument Spreadsheet". I just thought you might find it interesting. I think it was a slip of the finger, maybe. I prefer Kubuntu to Windows, but must use Windows because the college I attend is not in the 21st Century (they don't allow a choice).
