Yesterday I upgraded my 64 bit Ubuntu 9.10[?] to 10.04

There were some troubles with resetting printers and such,
but I loved the fact that it is now using OOo 3.2 as the default
office suite. They used 3.1.x in 9.10.

The actual info is:
OpenOffice.org 3.2.0
OOO320m12 (Build:9483)
ooo-build 3.2.0.10, Debian 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4, Fri Apr 23 19:10:52 UTC

With the 9.10 Ubuntu, I could not get OOo 3.1.x out of the Applications Menus even when it was uninstalled. So I had to create Launchers for 3.2.x and leave 3.1.x installed and in the Menu system. This was a problem since if I clicked
on a file, it used 3.1.x.

But now that problem has gone away with the upgrade to the latest Ubuntu.

The only thing I had trouble with was the fact that the HP printers had to be
"upgraded" from HP external site for Linux drivers. The one that came with
Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit HPLIP that was included(?) in the upgrade did not work.
I just had to download the up-to-date version for 10.04 and install it. Then the
HP printers I had installed with 9.10 was visible again.

OOo 3.2 still has the trouble of keeping the Font Toolbar shown, while I did not have that problem with 3.1.x. But as I said, I do not have to deal with both the
3.1.x and 3.2.x version on my desktop.

Well, I just wanted you people to know that Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit has 3.2.x
as their default Office suite over Abiword and Kword.
