I am running OO 1.1.4 on SUSE 9.1 on an IBM T42p laptop. It is installed
in /opt/. OO runs fine, except on startup I get the following error:
javaldx: could not create link of name: /
/a which links to /usr/lib/java/jre/bin, symlink error: -1
Oddly, the link is already in this directory, has the right permissions,
and can be accessed when I am not logged in as root. Here is the directory:
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 2005-06-17 15:41 a -> /usr/lib/java/jre/bin
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 29 2005-06-17 15:41 b ->
/usr/lib/java/jre/bin/classic
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 33 2005-06-17 15:41 c ->
/usr/lib/java/jre/lib/i386/client
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 41 2005-06-17 15:41 d ->
/usr/lib/java/jre/lib/i386/native_threads
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 26 2005-06-17 15:41 e -> /usr/lib/java/jre/lib/i386
I tried changing the name of the link, so OO would have to recreate it
and this didn't work either.
Thoughts?
Thank in advance,
Eric
