I have 2 sheets, One sheet have 3 pages for printing, other sheet
have 2 pages for printing, that is 5 pages for printing in all
sheets. In footer I insert field PAGE # OF #. I want to print only
first sheet, 3 pages. When I go on Print Preview, in the footer I
see PAGES 1 OF 5, instead PAGES 1 OF 3, since I print selected sheet
that have only 3 pages.
What can I do, so I could display only number of pages that I
printing (On first page - PAGE 1 OF 3, On second page - PAGE 2 OF 3,
On third page - PAGE 3 OF 3)?
First, when you use Page Preview, you will see "Page 1 of 5", as you
suggest. But if you actually print the pages - using the "Selected
sheets" option in the print dialogue, you will see "Page 1 of 3" on
the printout itself. That may be what you need.
Alternatively, try this:
o Select all the material on the first sheet, or even all of the
sheet. (You can do this easily by clicking in the cell at the top
left - where the row and column headings meet.)
o Go to Format | Print Ranges > | Define.
Now that you have defined only the first sheet as being what you want
printed, Page Preview will show exactly what will print - "Page 1 of
3" and so on.
I trust this helps.
