Ok, I figured out, why It's not working, It's not KDE's file open
dialog, but standard OO dialog.

Anyway my problem persists, I need restricted file access... Is it
possible in OO?

Hello!

I'm trying to set up KDE KIOSK session for users, where they will see
only their home directory (not allowed to see anything except of
contents of their home). It is supported by KDE itself (restriction
takes place in each KDE application), but when I start OpenOffice in KDE
environment and tries to open a file, a KDE dialog opens, but it allows
to access everything (which are allowed by file permissions of course).

Is there any settings in OpenOffice, which will restrict file access to
user's HOME only?

Thanks,
Gergely

Hi

What do you get if you change >Tools > Options >OpenOffice.org >General and untick the Use OpenOffice.org dialogs (in the middle of the window).

Hope that helps
