Why is it that when I type in the letters CNA on my spreadsheet, no
matter what I do, it changes it to can.
Because you have the AutoCorrect function in operation. This
operates in spreadsheets as well as in text documents.
What am I doing wrong?
Only letting OpenOffice do things it thinks are helpful when they may not be.
To disable this effect, remove the tick from Tools | AutoCorrect
Options... | Options | Use replacement table. Alternatively, if you
wanted to disable this particular correction but to keep AutoCorrect
generally, you could go to Tools | AutoCorrect Options... | Replace,
scroll down to and select "cna can", and click Delete.
I trust this helps.
