NoOp,

Thanks for the reply.
I mentioned the JODConverter for completeness, and I will follow your suggestions concerning it. But I also wrote to this list because I was hoping that OpenOffice itself would allow for a configuration of the export-to-pdf procedure that would help me.
That's because the actual conversion is really done by OpenOffice.

Cheers,

Hi,

I have a question about converting .doc files to .pdf files when
the .doc file contains revision markings.
I am using OpenOffice version 3.2.0 which I run as a server (without a
GUI) by starting it up using the command:
./soffice.bin -headless -nofirststartwizard -
accept="socket,host=localhost,port=8100;urp;StarOffice.Service"
Then I'm using JODConverter version 2.2.2 to drive the conversion job
that OpenOffice does. It takes a .doc file for input and produces
a .pdf file as output. The actual conversion job is done by OpenOffice.

The question is: Is possible to configure the setup that I have so
that any revision markings that the author has recorded in the
document are removed before the document is converted to pdf. That is, the conversion should behave as if an "Accept changes" button had been
clicked prior to the conversion.

Never used JODConverter, but perhaps this will help?

A bit old, but may still be helpful.

And 2.2.2 is apparently the sourceforge version? If so:
