No, there is no "present plan", neither one of those issues are under
active development nor have an owner or target milestone.
49991 is only a couple of weeks old, so that's not surprising.
And considering what is the most useful approach: what is the use of
Draw as a vector *editor* if it can import vector images but can't
*edit* them?
Draw isn't good enough to edit SVG's; it needs a major redesign and rewrite.
