I have created a database in ubuntu 10.04, using openoffice `base'
from a .csv file. I can open the database from base and all appears
 well there.

From what little research I have done, I grok that I should select
from openoffice write, the follow process:
 File->Wizards->Address Data Source
The result is a dialogue window with the following title
"Address Book Data Source Wizard". 2 active items in the leftmost
 pane:
 1)"Address Book Type"
 2)"Table Selection"

When I chose "Table Selection" I get the following error message
 contained in a popup:
"The connection to the external data source could not be
established. No SDBC driver was found for the given URL"

When I chose "Address Book type" I get the same error message.
:( If I were dating I would feel totally shot down here. I thought
that when I created the database I selected the "register" option.

The database has an .odb extension.

Please advise me how to procede from here.
I am a programmer with 10 years or more on linux and a background
in MS-access. Am comfortable with the command line.

 thanks
