It really serves no purpose to scold people for not following the directions in the message trailer
of most list messages. For one thing, there are a number of real problems that can interfere with
the nominal unsubscribe process. The most common is address "munging" -- which can sometimes be
resolved by using the indirect form of the unsubscribe, with the account name in the address with an
equals sign instead of an at sign. Supplying that form to the poster also means that there's no need
to tell them to use the problem account to submit the unsubscribe request. But there are plenty of
other possible difficulties; I'll be glad to supply specifics off-list to anybody who's curious.
