OOo 3.2.1 on Mac OSX 10.6.4 I wonder how OOo handles - creates - the first line indent when one is specified in a style. The reason I ask is because I am working on converting an odt file to epub, using Calibre, and I find a number of   code snippets at the beginning of each paragraph. The annoying thing is that the number of these non-breaking spaces varies from 0 to 6 (at least 6 is the most so far.
Why would this be? Is the size of the non-breaking space determined by the size of the first character after the spaces, so that a 'W' would have fewer than, say, an 'i'? The funny thing is that there appears to be a default first line indent in the file, so that, with the non-breaking spaces, there is a ragged indent, that is, some indents are wider than others. Hope I've explained this clearly enough for it to be understood.
