Hi I downloaded the free version of FreeOffice
and bought another on ebay which I have not received yet and I can not find how
to set the margins can you help please

We support OpenOffice.org, and it sounds as if FreeOffice is some version of this (maybe not the
most current). If you go to the www.openoffice.org website, you can download the latest version of
the actual office suite software for free -- since you've come to this mailing list for help, it
sounds as if whoever is trying to get your money is probably not very ethical. In any case, if what
you have is indeed a version of OOo, it uses "page styles" for setting margins and a lot of other
things about how the page is formatted. In the Writer application, go to Format > Page and look at
the Page tab; you can set the margins there.
There's also a great deal of documentation available (mostly free) about how to use OOo. One good
place to start is
