As far as I know there are no database drivers for Access on any platform other than Windows ("MS Connectivity Tools"). You need 2 Base documents on a Win machine with the MS tools installed. Connect one Base document to the Access database and the other Base document to some other database (may be a default HSQLDB, but that would not be the one and only, not even the best choice). Base can copy tables across connected databases. Do not "open" the table. Just drag the table icon from one Base window into the other and follow the wizard with care.

From MSAccess on Windows you can export to csv, Excel or dBase to mention 3 file formats Base can handle good enough. Access has some valuable self-reporting tools to export all meta-information about your database.
