The simple answer is "yes". With OOo, the presentation software is
called "Impress" and does a good job of presenting MS *.ppt files.
Of course, YMMV as MS will often include proprietary gimmicks that OOo
has not included but these may affect things like transitions or music,
but generally speaking, all should work fine.
