Change the file extension from .pps to .ppt
The odd thing is that having seen this thread I yesterday changed a .ppt
to a .pps, supposing the presentation would autostart under OOo. It
didn't - I had to start it manually.
v3.x/XP, so maybe the ubuntu version differs.
