I am running
> Linux 2.6.34.7-0.5-desktop x86_64

> 4.4.4 (KDE 4.4.4) "release 3"
and OOO Version

I have the following resources
> CPU Information
> Processor (CPU): AMD Phenom(tm) 9950 Quad-Core Processor
> Speed: 2,800.31 MHz
> Cores: 4
> Memory Information
> Total memory (RAM): 7.8 GiB
> Free memory: 6.0 GiB (+ 916.7 MiB Caches)
> Free swap: 42.6 GiB

The OOO version is native to the 11.3 Install and I have applied any OOO
specific
updates is native to an OpenSUSE 11.3 Installation

Please forgive me if this question has been asked over and over - I'm
brand new in here at OOO support

When I open any part of OOO, the PC freezes for 6 or so seconds and then
proceeds as normal.
OOO Is very very very slow and takes seconds to perform both a Real-Time
spell Check and Real-Time Grammar Check - to the point that it is very
very noticeable in its delay.

I have not created many files from OOO that are longer than say 4 pages
of text or a simple A4 Landscape Calc Sheet!

Is OOO a true 64 bit application under Linux because it feels like I am
waiting for Windows to just open the first page of the OOO Suite.

I have given OOO dedicated RAM and Resources up the ying yang but it
sill feels like a 32bit app under Windows!

I mean No offence to all Windows folk!

If for what ever reason I need OOO to recover a 3 page doc - It has
taken up to 4 mins to do this.

If there is a setting in OOO that I may have missed please let me know
but under Base Memory I have given it close to 1GIG of RAM let alone
other caching increases to OOO base settings
Or is OOO a true X64 base application under Linux
