I currently use Microsoft Outlook Express for my email program. Before I
started using Open Office I used Microsoft Office. While MS Office was

Office and use only OpenOffice.org. my emails are no longer checked. Is
there a way to get spell check with my Outlook Express now that I use Open
Office?

From what I can tell, OOo would be more than happy to function as a spell checker for OE, but MS won't allow that. :(

Most people on this list will tell you to download Mozilla Thunderbird which is a free, open source, E-mail & Address Book program. It complements Mozilla Firefox, a web browser.

Both can be found at www.mozilla.com.

I made the switch shortly after I switched to OOo. I think I am happy with TB overall. For the most part there isn't a huge difference. I think it has most of the same feature, I use some in TB I never tried to use in OE, so I am not sure. For sure it adds an adaptive junk-mail filter which is nice and sorts my junk mail for me. It also, which is important to you, includes a spell checked built in.

I miss some things that I had in Outlook, like the ability to send a delayed e-mail, and the ability to drag an e-mail and create a to-do item or a calendar item, but out side of that I don't think I'm missing much.

HTH,
