Upgrading from Open Office Ver 1.1.3

What is one suppose to do to upgrade?
Does one have the option between ver 1.1.4 or Ver 2.0 beta?

1.1.4 is the most current stable release. It has all of the bug fixes, except of course for the patch. Unless you want to risk the chance of the beta software doing something weird and destroying what you are working on, you should stick to 1.1.4.

You can however, run 1.1.4 and 2.0 beta side-by-side, so to speak, so you can play with the new features found in it.

Does ver 1.1.4 have te Data Base Program?

Not the same as 2.0 will but you can connect to databases.

Does the "Security patch" to ver 1.1.4 also refer to ver 1.1.3?

No, 1.1.3 has been replaced by 1.1.4, and 1.1.4 needs the patch.

In the description Ver 1.1 on the OpenOffice.org WEB site, it refers to the Power Point equivalent Program as "Impress". On my version of Open Office, it is called "Presentation" . What is the situation?

Impress = Presentation. In 1.1.4 the program shortcuts are labeled by what they make. Writer = Text Document.
