My Wife uses OO 3.2 on Ubuntu 10.04. Her 'target' is Windows users. We have found that formating a document is best done (sometimes is the only way) in ODF format. The problem is that sometimes when an ODF document is saved in .doc (XP) format, that original formatting can be lost or corrupted. Example, she set page numbers to start at 49. Worked fine. Save as a .doc document and yikes! every page was numbered 49. Upon resaving, the page numbers remained in the correct format.
I'm soliciting and would welcome any and all (reasonable) comments on what format to save as and anything else that one might come up with. -- Tim tim at johnsons-web.com or akwebsoft.com http://www.akwebsoft.com -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected] with Subject: help
