Hi,

Thanks to those who recently helped me out with my query concerning Ancient
Greek and OpenOffice. I have downloaded Thessalonica and installed it on
Windows 2000 laptop (dell C810).

Can anybody who has used this program give me a small tip? Using OpenOffice
and Thessalonica I cannot get the breathing marks and accents to actually
lie over the text, only to one side. I am sure that I am doing something
remarkably stupid :-)

Certainly OpenOffice can now import Greek text complete with
accents/breathing marks, change to font on this text easily but even on this
text I cannot place a new breathing mark or accent over the text.

Thanks to anyone who can help,

Andrew Strong.

PS I sent a similar email to the maker of the program (Thessalonica).

This evening, as he sat silently in the velvet backed chair,
his mind had turned to many subjects like a black craft, that
though it steers through many waters has always beneath it
a deathly image reflected among the waves. Philosophers
and the poetry of Death - the meaning of the stars and the
nature of these dreams that haunted him when in those chloral
hours before the dawn the laudanum built for him within his
skull a tallow-coloured world of ghastly beauty.
