Hi,

I was wondering if you could help me sort out an NSIS error. Until last night,
I had never come up against one and I've had an interesting crash course -
after which, I still feel quite ignorant. In my haze of confusion, I emailed a
colleague of yours who doesn't normally deal with these sorts of things.
Still, he was helpful and now, I'm even more encouraged that Open Office might
be for me.

As far as I can tell, I keep downloading a "broken" version of Open Office
3.3.0; but I haven't a clue why. The one I most recently attempted was:
OOo_3.3.0_Win_x86_install-wJRE_en-US.exe

And the corresponding MD5 thingy is: b7de217e5945b3a28c7f4f3698e51aa4. This is
according to Open Office's own list of MD5 sums. I used the digestIT2004x64 to
calculate the MD5 that is actually part of my downloaded installation file and
it is: 82f9d46d58e457dc79f468181dce39cc. They don't match. But seeing as I
have tried to download this latest version of Open Office so many times, I'm
now at a loss.

I am new to Open Office and until I tried to update the version I had - 3.2 -
things were working fine. Now, I'm concerned that I won't be able to get it
back again. I'd appreciate all the help you could give me. And I so hope to
hear from you soon.

Thank you, in advance.

Best regards,
Christina

Christina, you might want to consider following the advice found on this page
