When you import a picture it is wrapped in a 'graphics' frame.
You can modify the properties of the default graphics frame by using
the style list.
Click on your picture, and Press F11
- you will see the styles and formatting dialogue box.
the Graphics from should be highlighted.
Right click on this to modify the global settings for this frame -
e.g you can set it to as character, and give is some white space margin
You can then delete you picture and save as a template.
