Did you try to Google: "select blank cells in calc"?  One that might apply:

If none of these help then you need to create a macro and map it to whatever
key shortcut you like.

Your comment: "But I think Database program will not suit our calculation
requirements."  make we wonder why, since I believe that a Base macro can
call any function available in Calc.
