For some reason, I have intermittently experienced difficulty printing envelopes from OpenOffice 3.2.1. More interestingly, the same difficulty occurs in both the Windows and the Macintosh version.
When I go into OpenOffice, and start a new text document, then go to Format > Page and change the Format to "#10 Envelope" and the orientation to "landscape," and set the margins to what I want them to be, and then manually feed an envelope into the printer and issue the print command, the return address is not visible at all, and the addressee's address appears in the center of the very top (or very bottom) of the envelope (depending on how you feed it). You'd think maybe this is a driver issue, but here is where it really gets interesting: the problem occurs both when I use OpenOffice under Mac OS 10.4.11 with a Brother HL-2040 printer AND when I use OpenOffice running on a Windows Vista SP1 machine with an HP LaserJet 2035 printer!
