Though I have never imported a spreadsheet to base, I know that when you use 
Wizard to set up a report, it asks you what fields you want to put in your 
report. Just double-click the fields that you want in your report. I hope that 
it works for you.

 Using OO, latest build on a WinXP system.
 
I've discovered that I can open a spreadsheet as a datasource in Base, which 
will enable me to generate the kinds of reports I'd like to have.  I've created 
a nice report.  Problem: how do I indicate which records I want in the report?  
During the design phase, I don't see a way to filter the data to only get the 
records I want on the report.
