OOo does have a versions feature built into it. Not particularly useful
if you are saving like every minute, but if you are saving different
version for real, it can be nice.
Try *File > Versions*. WARNING: If you have several versions stored in
the file and then do a Save As... all version will be erased. You will
need to rename the file manually.
