Can anybody help me resolve a problem with OOo Base?
I first noticed this when using the Portable Apps version of Base, but the
same problem applies when using the regular desktop flavor:
When I try to open a database, I get the following error.
The connection to the data source "[filename]" could not be established.
The driver class ' ' could not be loaded.
*Detailed error listing:*
The connection to the data source "[filename]" could not be established.
Error code: 1000
The driver class ' ' could not be loaded.
SQL Status: HY000
The driver class ' ' could not be loaded.
*Steps to resolve so far:*
I have checked that OpenOffice has access to a Java Runtime Environment
(Tools / Options / Java)

[cannot find SeaMonkey 2.0 addressbook data source]
This is fixed in OOo 3.4 beta. If you'd like to give it a try you can
download from here:
<http://download.openoffice.org/all_beta.html>
BTW: it's helpful when asking for help if you include the OOo version
you are using, and which operating system.
Thanks for the suggestion to try OOo 3.4 beta. I wish it were that
simple. But because I am using the Portable Apps version, I have to rely
on whichever Portable Apps version is the most recent release. My
present version is 3.2.0, and the OS is whichever version of Windows is
available wherever I log on.
