E-pub is a html/xhtml format.
You can open it with the free program SIGIL (
http://code.google.com/p/sigil/ ) and change the files individualy.

Errm, I think he wants to read & navigate around the document on his
iPod ...
I got that.
But with Sigil he can look what's wrong with the file(s).
My gues is that the best is to remove the TOC from the .odt-dokument,
and make a new one directly in the .epub-dokument with Sigil. (using the
h-tag)
