Dear all,
thank you very much for your help. I tried several things and it seems
better now. In the end I have the impression that it was not the fault
of OO but of the Windows Explorer with its dubious label „date“ which
remains empty in my list of chosen columns/details and is nowhere
defined instead of the better defined modification date und creation
date. I had to go back to the *.doc format because several friends
could not read my attachments in *odt obviously because the generally
used Microsoft is not yet willing to accept this format, although it
was internationally approved and recommended, within its software.
Otherwise this problem would never have existed. In the chosen details
there appear other funny things in my files so f.i. my „modification
date“ in some folders was generally set to plus 2 hours from the
„date“.
I use the Open Office.org 3.2 and use the „view: choose column“ very
often since I need different orders in my folder to search it in a
special direction. The first severe problem was that I lost some files
for the wonderful Windows7 search modus, they just disappeared when I
searched in a time frame between dates as they had not got a date after
saving them in *doc. Finally when I had searched everything manually I
found them in an unexpected place without their date.
Thank you for the link to the German site, which escaped me, the
scrolling information from Shannon also works so at least I won't get
lost.

So now I shall try to live with this unperfectness of computers since
it is like this everywhere in the world. I thought it was better with
computers.
