    A simple question, true, but a complex answer. The date field has
specific formats that it can use. The one you want is not one of them.
It would require making some adjustments in OOo to add what you want,
and I doubt that there is enough of a need for this for these
adjustments to be made.
    Why century and year? If you have the year, you automatically have
the century, don't you? Since your are entering date/month/year and
century anyway, why don't you use a second field to list the century?
One field contains the date/month/year part and the second field
contains the century.
