Hi I am using: Mandriva Linux LE2005 Knode 0.8.2 comcast.net (cable broadband)
Early in June I tried to "post" to "gmane.comp.openoffice.questions" and it was refused/returned. Below is a 'cut & paste' exert from that message that I then sent to "[email protected]" via e-mail using Kmail: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . What happened when I blinked? Date: 06/13/05 11:21 am From: BillM <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Hi I have had "gmane.comp.openoffice.questions" on my News Group list and when I wanted to look up past messages in Google all worked right. Today I wanted info on "faxing from OO.o" and Google seemed to not know 'gmane.comp.openoffice.questions' even though I got messages from there dated today. I hope someone can tell me about the changes? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . This is the first time I have been able to do a follow-up inquiry. Google still does know "gmane.comp.openoffice.questions" for whatever reasons but my concern is that that I can't send posts to the newsgroup. ( I do download them as a newsgroup with no problem). I believe that I am not configuring the header properly. Possibly you or Comcast.net has changed a server in early June. Below is a 'long header' from a message I sent in May. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . What does "You need a valid email address to post." mean - your address or mine. As I understand it, sending it to "[email protected]" (email) requires extra work at your end so I would like to get it corrected.
