Hopefully someone will have a better solution for you, but in the worst
case scenario you could try copying from Word, pasting into OOo as
unformatted text, then using the Convert Text to Table function to
convert back into tables. Messy I know :-/

I am facing problem in opening nested tables files in Open Office
which are made in MsWord. When i open these types files its hang the
OpenOffice and i have no choice except kill the OpenOffice.
I know that this feauture has been added in the OpenOffice 2.0 but pls
inform if there is any work around for it in the stable open office
versions.
