Hello. I am currently using StarOffice 7 in a computer lab full of Windows machines. I am starting to look at the OpenOffice.org 1.9 series in anticipation of switching to OpenOffice.org when version 2 is released. So far i am highly impressed. But i have encountered one problem:
With StarOffice i was able to automatically set up the user's StarOffice profile when they log in for the first time. I used a script to generate a response file suitable for the user and then ran: "C:\Program Files\StarOffice7\program\setup.exe" -r:%RESPONSEFILE% "C:\Program Files\StarOffice7\program\quickstart.exe" That worked great in that the user didn't have to be bothered with registration details. Is there similar functionality in OpenOffice.org? I am currently evaluating the 1.9m113 build but have not found a setup.exe or a way to generate the user's profile automatically. I'd appreciate any pointers to the appropriate documentation (i searched, but was unsuccessful) or if someone could tell me how to do this, i would be most appreciative.
