I copied the files to a different computer, and then it worked a bit better. I think it is an issue of memory or processing power. The first computer is still a pentium three with 256 Mb ram.

The other computer is Pentium 4 - also with 256MB ram. The first time I tried it with 52 records and I could see how it merged the documents. It crashed at 42. No error messages, no auto recovery. Then I deleted a lot of the records and tried it with 20 records. Then it did it quite well.

My other computer just responded very erratically.

Thanks anyway

Sounds strange. I'm assuming that all fields are non-empty and that
the source spreadsheet has not been altered by someone else.

Did this work correctly when you first created it?

Hi

I'm running OOO 1.9.79.2 on Ubuntu

------------------------
I spent most today and yesterday setting up a rather complicated
registration form for the Dormitory where I work. It contains about 40
fields.

I set up a Calc- document with all the data (about 55 records) with
about 50 fields.

Now I am trying to merge the two together. When I tested it in the
beginning it worked quite well... now the programme is repeatedly doing
the following

It places the Surname of Record One in the document of Record Two.
The Surname of Record Two in the document of record Three.

So if the person in record one is Bongani Mbatha
and the person in record two is Khumo Lekau

It prints it as Khumo Mbatha

How do I fix this? I am under quite a bit of pressure to get these
registration documents done.

Thanks
