[users] error message when trying to open word document

i am not able to open word documents while using neooffice j / 1.1.  i 
was for the longest time, and now it does not work.  i have reinstalled 
the software and the latest patch for the software.  i get an error 
message when i try to open the document... [ error code - 10660 ].  
what can i do to have this software work for me?
